A change in paint color can do just the trick with these Color Trends for 2021!
2021 Colors of the Year
Each year, paint companies release a chosen color or colors of the year. These colors show trends that are coming to interior design. Choosing a paint color for your bedroom or living room can be daunting when you go to the store and look at all of those paint chips. These colors for 2021 can you help you narrow down your available options.
Pantone: Ultimate Gray and Illuminating
Instead of one color for 2021, Pantone decided on a color combo that is really more of a mood. Ultimate Gray is a light neutral gray color that works in almost any space. Illuminating, is a great accent that is bright and cheerful! This combination is eye-catching and brings a note of positivity, which we could all use.
Glidden: Aqua Fiesta
Glidden also decided on a cheerful color, but did not did but not quite a bright yellow. While this Aqua Fiesta is bold, it is not overly bright. This aqua color can dress up all kinds of spaces and goes great with both grays and light neutral browns. It will make you feel like you are on an island vacation. (Umbrella drinks not included). This color can used in a kitchen for a happy morning vibe or be used for a calming effect in your bedroom.
Benjamin Moore: Aegean Teal
Benjamin Moore similarly stuck with blue hues for choosing a 2021 color of the year, but this one is a truer blue. This color pairs well with yellow for a vibrant room. For a more natural harmonious feel, combine this updated robin-egg blue with some gray neutrals, and you have the perfect space!
HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams: Passionate
In case blue, isn’t your thing, HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams comes to the rescue with Passionate for its Color of the Year for 2021. This is not a typical red and is more of a muted raspberry. It can easily blend modern design with traditional charm. This berry-red color feels invigorating and lends itself to social spaces like dining and living rooms. This is one you can definitely accent with other bold tones which is sure to transform your surroundings.
Sherwin-Williams: Urbane Bronze
Are you looking for something a bit more neutral? Urban Bronze fits the bill! This color for 2021 can be used on its own for a more defined space or accent it with some pops of vibrant colors for a more daring look. This warm gray-brown goes well in any lighting and any surroundings. A sunroom filled with plants and this accent color grounds you with nature.
Valspar: Hues of the Year
If you are like me, and picking one color is difficult, Valspar knows the feeling. Instead of picking just one color, Valspar chose 12 muted colors. These shades can be used in multiple color combinations in one room or can be used on their own. These shades bring a certain serenity and calmness to a room, no matter how you use them! Valspar really wanted to show a palette of colors that a consumer can mix and match!
I hope these colors have helped you to at least narrow down your paint choices with the latest and greatest. I know I often don’t know where to start with picking out a color for a room. These colors for 2021 are spot on and I can’t wait to incorporate some into my home. Which is your favorite?
